Welcome to Fatherhood Etc., a stay-at-home dad’s thoughts on parenting and life. I will strive to make it entertaining, enlightening, and only occasionally aggravating. I understand that few people will agree with everything I post, but I hope that everyone will find something of value here.
As for me, my name is David Ozab. I am the father of a nine-year-old future-academy-award winning actress. I am also a writer I live in Eugene, Oregon, with my wife Julia, my daughter Anna, and our two ornery guinea pigs, Buddy and Knight. My current project is a chapter book series titled Adventure Anna. It’s the story of a second grader who’s a cross between Indiana Jones and Junie B. Jones.
My first book, A Smile for Anna, tells the story of my daughter’s cleft diagnosis and surgery, her unrelated motor-speech disorder, and her irrepressible spirit.
I am currently seeking representation for both my fiction and non-fiction writing.
So far in my short freelancing career, I’ve written for Chicken Soup for the Soul, Catholic Digest, and Errant Parent, and I’ve appeared on KEZI 9 News and Catholic Broadcasting Northwest’s “In Person” with Dina Marie Hale. I’m looking for freelance-writing jobs as well as opportunities to guest blog.
