That was Anna’s mode of transportation for the Salem Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech a week-ago Saturday. She said 5K (about 3.1 miles) was too far to walk.
Yet here’s Anna four days later at her school jog-a-thon where she ran 21 laps. At a tenth of a mile per lap that’s 2.1 miles.
So as we walked back to the car after the jog-a-thon, I congratulated her on how far she ran, and asked if she’d want to walk the 5K next year. After all, it’s only a mile longer and she’ll be walking instead of running.
“No,” she replied. “I think I’ll ride my scooter.”
So she won’t walk, but she’ll run or she’ll ride a scooter?
What a kid!
